The Secular Carmelite Community at Holy Hill offers retreats or days of  reflection. Carmelite retreats are designed to offer an opportunity to  encounter the Lord in silence and solitude. “Be still and know that I am  God” Ps 46:10.  Annual retreats help strengthen our faith lives and deepen  our connection with the Lord. Visitors and guests are welcome to  participate in retreats. As space is limited advance registration is  required.

The general format of a retreat includes a series of structured reflections  given by a Carmelite Friar, Deacon or retreat master. In addition to reflections, time is set aside for personal prayer, reflection, spiritual  direction, adoration, benediction, Mass, Confession and spiritual direction.  Days of reflection are similarly structured in an abbreviated amount of  time. Throughout each day there is also an opportunity to participate in  the Liturgy of the Hours. Retreats generally begin on Friday evening and  conclude Sunday after Mass.  Apart from specified fellowship or recreation  times, retreats are generally silent. Days of reflection are typically held  from mid-morning to late afternoon.
